This site serves as a guide to educate and inform you about the truth about the recession, the dollar value of our money and how you can secure your financial future with wise investment strategies.
Coming out from college, I realized I was just learning how things worked in the corporate world. Watching the layoffs was really tough and stressful.
Having just entered the working force for a year..starting around Thanksgiving 2008 I witnessed by mentors and close friends slowly getting let go, it was a sad sight. And then slowly my brother and my dad all experienced becoming "redundant".
I knew it was time for me to figure out a way to help them survive in this difficult time. I did a lot of researching and experimenting around what worked and what didn't. And then bingo!!
It's really not fair that only a small percentage of the population has the knowledge they need to hang on to their jobs, increase their net worth and help their company thrive-especially when all they really need to do is change their mindset!! That's why I decided to write and do more research on how to recession proof yourself. I figured it was high time the rest of the world had the chance to learn what the major players already knew-the secrets for surviving an economic recession without going into debt!
I was just at a Rich Dad Poor Dad seminar, the guy really has great finance information to share. Which I will include in my newsletter notes as well. If you haven't read Rich Dad Poor Dad, or Cash Flow Quadrant it is definitely a good time to pick it up and read. You will educate yourself in the financial world.
I took notes during the recession and constantly read books to improve my Fiance IQ. One thing Rich Dad said I believe is that "Being Rich or Poor is a decision", "Many people are poor because they choose to be financially illiterate" this reminds me of my parents whom don't know how to do their own tax returns and don't even know how much they are receiving exactly every month from their paycheck. It took my dad 7 months to figure out he was being deducted for some health insurance coverage that my mom was already covering. Just financial ignorance mistakes like these cost us thousands, and we wonder why we were poor.
Thus to help educated everyone, I am including what I have learned. You will receive the tips if you sign up for my newsletter. Just plain, simple, easy to use tricks and strategies to help you ride out the recession and come out on top on the other side. I am a big fan of Anthony Robbins, and one of the most memorable things he said " Although we cannot control the events that happen in our lives, we can control how we REACT to these changes" Being proactive and looking at the recession as an opportunity for good investments will bring you ahead of the game.
Sincerely,
Caroline Yang
